HOW TO READ THIS DIAGRAM
This diagram provides a high-level overview of how the ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) ecosystem is organised and how its different components interact to support the delivery of digital VAT-related public services across the EU.
At the centre of the diagram is the cross-border Digital Public Service. The way this service is delivered is detailed under the Delivery Model, which defines the interaction between service providers and service consumers, clarifying who provides the services, who uses them, and how they interact within the ecosystem.
The main functional abilities the digital public services need to have are included as Digital Business Capabilities. These capabilities represent the high-level business functions required to operate the ViDA ecosystem effectively. They include functions such as, eIdentification, eInvoicing, or digital communication.
These business capabilities are implemented through a catalogue of Digital Public Services, shown on the right-hand side of the diagram.
The Information exchanged through the cross-border Digital Public Service is shown at the bottom of the diagram. In the ViDA service it includes information elements such as transaction information or supplier and customer data.
