Description: The design and implementation of sufficient mechanisms to attain full visibility on the effective realisation of public services, based on public policies, by putting in place processes and procedures that provide accountability to stakeholders. Additional information: Digital public services are based on public policies, their context and constraints. Bounded on that fact, organisations develop their strategies and roadmaps accordingly, which implies the provision of funds and efforts to develop effective and efficient public services. The economic and technical efforts need to be monitored and tracked to ensure that policies are implemented without additional effort. At that point is where public administrations need to put mechanisms to follow-up on implementations and the attainment of public policy objectives. The European Interoperability Framework is part of the Communication (COM(2017)134) from the European Commission adopted on 23 March 2017. The framework gives specific guidance on how to set up interoperable digital public services.
